Some photoshoots are a little more special than others, and this one will always have a place in my heart.
I recently had the absolute joy of photographing my best friend during her pregnancy, and getting to capture these memories for her felt incredibly special.
After watching and supporting so many of our friends as they've entered motherhood, it's finally her turn! As one of my longest friends, we've shared so many chapters of life together, and seeing her prepare to welcome her own little one is just the loveliest thing.
And it's not just mum and dad counting down the days! Her beautiful step-daughter is so excited to become a big sister, and knowing how much love is already waiting for this baby makes it all the more special. 🤍
Making the Most of Autumn's Golden Glow 🍂
We couldn't have picked a better time for her outdoor maternity photoshoot. With the beautiful autumn colours, soft golden light and gorgeous seasonal surroundings, we made the most of the autumn we had here in Bramley, Tadley.
Autumn is such a lovely time for maternity photography. The warm tones and natural textures create the dreamiest backdrop for capturing this special chapter before baby arrives.
We kept things relaxed and natural, capturing those little moments, her beautiful bump and all the excitement of what's just around the corner. For me, that's what photography is all about — creating images that bring you straight back to how you felt in that moment.
And when it's your best friend in front of the camera, there's a whole extra layer of love behind every photograph. 🤎
One Maternity Shoot Down… More Memories to Come! ✨
Of course, we couldn't possibly stop at one photoshoot!
We've still got a studio maternity session to look forward to, which I'm equally excited about. It'll be lovely to capture a completely different feel in the studio and give her even more beautiful memories to look back on as she prepares to welcome her little one.
And then, once baby has arrived, we'll be getting together again for a newborn photoshoot! I honestly can't wait to meet this precious little person and capture those tiny details, sleepy cuddles and first family moments that pass by far too quickly.
Being able to photograph these milestones for my best friend, from pregnancy through to those precious newborn days, is something I feel incredibly lucky to do. There's something so special about documenting the beginning of this next chapter for a family you love.
